To change the audio level settings, perform the following steps

• Unzipthevolumepackagele

• SelectandcopytheappropriatecongurationlefromiPod,USBorAUX

&A2DPfoldertotherootofaUSBashdrive.Makesureyouhaveat

leastoneplayablemusicle.Use0dB/+6dBlesifthevolumeisloweror

-1dB/-20bBifthevolumeisdistorted

• ConnecttheUSBdrivetotheGatewaywhileitispoweredup

• evolumecongurationproceduretakesabout2seconds.Whenn-

ished,thenextsongwillbeaudiblethroughthecarstereo

• TurntheAudioSystemOFF,removetheignitionkeyandwaitabout20

seconds.TurntheAudioSystembackON

• TestyourAudioSystem.Ifthevolumeoutputisstillnotoptimal,please

repeatsteps2-5withadierentvolumecongurationle

Gateway is not recognized:iscouldhappenifthegroundcableisnotconnected(in

caseofVWorAudi)ortheinstallationisnotdoneproperly.Itcanalsooccurifthecar

congurationresistorintheharnessisdamaged(theGatewaywilldefaulttooutputfor

BMW)

Alternator noise: isisanextremelyrareproblem.Ifyouarehearingalternatornoise,it

meansthateithertheGatewayortheharnessisfaulty,anditisnecessarytoreplaceboth
